Facilities and Equipments

Currently there are three versatile UHV systems in the group: variable temperature scanning tunneling microscope/atomic force microscope-angle resolved photoemission spectrometer-molecular beam epitaxy system (Omicron), variable temperature scanning tunneling microscope molecular beam epitaxy-surface magneto-optic Kerr effect system (Omicron), and low temperature (2.5 K) and high magnetic field (8 Tesla) scanning tunneling microscope-molecular beam epitaxy system (Unisoku).

1. UHV Variable Temperature Scanning Tunneling Microscope-Molecular Beam Epitaxy System (OMICRON)

Vacuum: 1.5x10-10 Torr; STM Operation Temperature: 25 K-1200 K. LEED is installed.

2. UHV Variable Temperature Scanning Tunneling Microscope/Atomic Force Microscope-Angle Resolved Photoemission Spectrometer-Molecular Beam Epitaxy Hybrid System (OMICRON)
