报告内容简介:
Synchrotron radiation X-ray technology, characterized by high brilliance, broad spectrum, excellent collimation, and polarization, serves as a powerful tool for exploring material microstructure, electronic states, and dynamics. This report reviews the evolution from traditional X-ray tubes to fourth-generation light sources and their physical mechanisms. It then systematically details core techniques in condensed matter physics. Specifically, X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy and Magnetic Dichroism are used to precisely probe elemental valence states, local geometry, and spin/orbital magnetic moments. Resonant X-ray Scattering resolves magnetic, charge, and orbital orders, along with low-energy excitations including magnons and excitons. Furthermore, X-ray imaging achieves spatial mapping at the micro-nano scale, whereas time-resolved techniques capture ultrafast dynamics on the femtosecond timescale. Finally, the report outlines future research opportunities provided by next-generation large-scale facilities.
