From a physics perspective, the core driving force behind the development of monolayer ferroelectric materials lies in exploring the emergence of novel physical phenomena and the disruptive application potential when the dimensionality is reduced to its limit. However, we cannot ignore the inherent instability caused by the reduction of dimensionality and blindly pursue monolayer ferroelectric materials.
