赵继民,1995年和1998年于清华大学物理系分别获得学士和硕士学位,2004年在密歇根大学物理系获得博士学位。经过在艾奥瓦大学的博士后研究,于2007年1月加入到中科院物理所。现为中科院物理研究所研究员,博士研究生导师。主要研究方向为量子材料的超快光谱学。研究超导体、拓扑量子体系等层状量子材料中的激发态准粒子的超快动力学,玻色型低能元激发的相干调控,非线性超快光谱,等等。主要贡献:建设了功能完善的强关联体系超快光谱学实验室,并以此为依托开展了高温超导体中的准粒子的超快动力学和多自由度元激发的相干态及其与配对电子的相互作用研究。通过空间自相位调制实现了多畴体系之间的电子相干性;实现了磁振子的量子压缩态;实现了单光子水平的超快全光开关;首次观测到了铁电体中的Stark效应;等等。
